Ajith Kumar, who was last seen in Vidaamuyarchi, is gearing up for the release of his film Good Bad Ugly. The film is slated for release in theatres on April 10. It is also the very same day Dhanush’s next directorial and film Idly Kadai is scheduled to hit theatres. Now, as per the latest reports, it is being reported that Dhanush will postpone his film. While that could be anticipated, it is also speculated that Dhanush might direct Ajith Kumar next. However, no official confirmation has not yet been made.
If rumours turn true, then Tamil cinema will see the collaboration of two leading actors. Now, with Dhanush’s Idly Kadai and Ajith Kumar-starrer Good Bad Ugly slated for April 10 release, it is speculated that Dhanush’s film will be postponed for a later date, giving way for the latter to enjoy a solo release. In addition to this, it is also reported that Dhanush is planning to direct Ajith Kumar for a new film. Despite no official announcement, it will be interesting to see how the stars will collaborate.
Dhanush is directing and starring in Idly Kadai, which also has Nithya Menen, Arun Vijay, Rajkiran and others. Meanwhile, Good Bad Ugly is helmed by Adhik Ravichandran. Incidentally, both the films will have music by GV Prakash Kumar.
Vidaamuyarchi is an action drama starring Ajith Kumar in the lead role. The film is now streaming on Netflix. Directed by Magizh Thirumeni, the film is an adaptation of Hollywood flick Breakdown. The cast of the film includes Trisha, Arjun Sarja, Regina Cassandra, Aarav, Nikil Nair and others. It revolves around a couple who are about to separate, taking a road trip together. However, after their car breakdowns, the wife takes the lift from another Tamil couple they see on their way, leading to her disappearance.
Vidaamuyarchi is backed by Lyca Productions and has music by Anirudh Ravichander. The film opened to positive reception but failed to create ripples at the box office.
