The star studded IIFA 2022 awards wrapped up on Saturday. This year’s ceremony, held in Abu Dhabi, saw the who's who of Bollywood grace the green carpet, and Salman Khan was one among them. Although the actor was the very picture of charm during the event, his interactions during the press conference session of the awards seemed to have rubbed fans the wrong way.
During the press conference, Khan interrupted the host who was in the midst of introducing the actor. After greeting everyone at the event, Khan asked the host to ‘keep quiet’ and joked that the host had ‘bored them to death’. The actor went on to ask the host how ‘he managed to do these things’. In reply, the host said that he had learnt it from Khan himself, to which the latter said ‘mujhse itna kuch seekh liya tumne’.
Khan went on, saying that IIFA people never listened and had brought in the host every time, calling the latter the ‘lull’ before the storm that the audiences would create the next day.
Many netizens did not take kindly to Khan’s behavior towards the host, and many called the actor out for his ‘arrogant’ and ‘rude’ attitude. Users talked about how Khan had ‘insulted’ the host and talked about how ‘inappropriate’ Khan’s words were. Sympathies also poured in for the host, with many netizens appreciating the way he handled the comments and kept calm throughout the interaction.
On the work front, Khan will next be seen in Tiger 3, alongside Katrina Kaif. The star is also working on Chiranjeevi’s Godfather, as well as a film with Pooja Hegde. Khan will also make a special appearance in Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan.
