Ikkis Box Office Day 6: Ikkis stars Dharmendra, Agastya Nanda, Jaideep Ahlawat, and others. Directed by Sriram Raghavan, the film has been performing averagely despite receiving positive reviews. But Ikkis has been facing tough competition from Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar. After 6 days, Ikkis collected Rs. 23.16 crore, but its single-day collection is below average.
As per Sacnilk, Ikkis collected Rs. 1.66 crore on day 6, making a total of Rs. 23.16 crore at the domestic box office. Meanwhile, Ikkis had an overall 15.55% Hindi Occupancy on Tuesday, January 06, 2026. Agastya Nanda's film has been facing continuous tough competition from Dhurandhar, even though Ranveer Singh's film has slowed down a bit.
The war drama, Ikkis, alternates between two stories: Arun Khetarpal's experiences as a young officer on the battlefield and his father, M.L. Khetarpal's, journey to Pakistan post-Kargil, connecting with a Pakistani Brigadier, adding layers of borderline humanity and memory.
It centres on the intense Battle of Basantar in December 1971, where the 21-year-old Arun Khetarpal single-handedly destroyed multiple enemy tanks despite being grievously wounded, ultimately sacrificing his life. Arun earned India's highest gallantry award, the Param Vir Chakra, for his valour at age 21.
Rather than glorifying war, Ikkis explores the emotional depth, sacrifice, longing, and futility of conflict, showing soldiers as human beings caught up in tragedy, emphasising humanity over nationalism. The story goes beyond the typical war movie tropes, focusing on the young officer's mindset, his understanding of leadership, and the profound impact of war on individuals and families, which makes it a deeply moving, human-centred story.
Meanwhile, the OTTplay review for Ikkis stated that the film is a masterfully restrained war drama that bravely prioritises humanity over hostility. Sriram Raghavan deliberately steers clear of modern jingoism, choosing instead a humane exploration of respect across borders. Agastya Nanda brings youthful vitality to Arun Khetarpal's legacy, while Dharmendra and Jaideep Ahlawat give the film its emotional weight.
