ILLIT soars while SEVENTEEN, TWS follow as HYBE Label groups dominate brand value rankings for April

Every month, the Korea Brand Reputation Research Institute reveals the K-pop groups that top the charts in various spots. The rankings are derived from extensive analysis of various parameters such as consumer engagement, media coverage, communication, and community interactions, spanning from March 18 to April 18. 

For April, HYBE Label groups have topped the charts, with rookie girl group ILLIT clinching the top spot, followed by boy groups SEVENTEEN and TWS. Here's a look at the top 10 groups dominating for April.


Debut date: March 25, 2024

Members: Yunah, Minju, Moka, Wonhee, and Iroha


The girl group was created under Belift Lab, a sub-label of HYBE, through the JTBC 2023 survival competition show 'R U Next?' They made their debut with 'Magnetic' and their mini-album 'SUPER REAL ME'.  

They accumulated a total of 5,045,265 brand value points for April, emerging as the top-ranking K-Pop idol group for the month.


Debut date: May 26, 2015

Members: S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, DK, Mingyu, The8, Seungkwan, Vernon, and Dino

The group under Pledis Entertainment, a part of HYBE Labels, recently announced the upcoming release of a career-spanning greatest hits collection titled '17 Is Right Here', set to be released on April 29. 

The 13-member group earned 3,741,080 points in April, securing the second position overall and claiming the top spot among boy groups on this list.


Debut date: January 22, 2024

Members: Shinyu, Dohoon, Youngjae, Hanjin, Jihoon and Kyungmin

This group are the younger brothers of SEVENTEEN and is also under the management of Pledis Entertainment. They caused a stir with their debut triumph on SBS's 'Inkigayo' on March 24, claiming the top spot with their track 'Plot Twist'. 

In April, they accumulated 3,432,767 points, positioning them at third place on this brand value list.


Debut date: May 2, 2018

Members: Miyeon, Minnie, Soyeon, Yuqi, and Shuhua

The group, formed by Cube Entertainment, achieved their third consecutive victory on SBS's 'Inkigayo' with their track 'Fate', securing the top spot once again on April 14. 

This five-member girl group claimed the 4th position for April, accumulating 2,968,167 points.


Debut date: December 1, 2021

Members: Yujin, Gaeul, Rei, Wonyoung, Liz, and Leeseo

The girl group, formed by Starship Entertainment, is gearing up for the release of their second mini album, 'IVE SWITCH', scheduled for April 29 at 6 PM KST. 

In April, they secured the fifth spot on the brand value list with 2,390,264 points.


Debut date: October 20, 2015

Members: Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Jihyo, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung, and Tzuyu

The 9-member group under JYP Entertainment achieved a monumental milestone with their album 'With You-th' debuting on the Billboard 200 albums chart. 

In April, they garnered 2,261,882 points, securing the sixth spot on the brand value list.


Debut date: May 2, 2022

Members: Sakura, Kim Chae-won, Huh Yun-jin, Kazuha, and Hong Eun-chae

The group formed by Source Music made waves with their performance at Coachella 2024, despite facing criticism. Interestingly, their appearance led to a surge in listeners on music apps. 

This boost has propelled them to the seventh spot on the April brand value list, with 2,089,941 points.


Debut date: June 13, 2013

Members: Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook

Despite the entire group being enlisted in the South Korean military service, the members have managed to release music at regular intervals, keeping their dedicated fanbase, ARMY, eagerly anticipating their every move. 

Their continued dominance on music charts persists, as evidenced by their presence within the Top 10 for April, with 2,025,340 points.

Debut date: August 8, 2016

Members: Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa

After departing from YG Entertainment to pursue solo ventures, three out of the four members have established their own labels and are gearing up for their solo debut albums. 

Despite not releasing any songs as a group in April, they still managed to accumulate 2,020,234 points, maintaining a significant presence on the brand value list.


Debut date: July 22, 2022

Members: Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein

The group under ADOR, a sub-label under HYBE, achieved a remarkable milestone on April 10, surpassing a total of 4 billion streams according to Spotify's data. All of their albums have entered the billion-playlist across all credits. 

For April, they accumulated 1,953,271 points, securing the 10th spot on the list.
