The first look poster and title of Ponram and Vijay Sethupathi's cop drama was unveiled recently. The project, which was tentatively titled VJS46, is now officially titled DSP. Former Miss India World Anukreethy Vas is making her debut with the movie which will hit the screens in December.
The makers are yet to reveal the exact release date, though. Imman, who is composing music for the movie, has revealed that he has joined hands with legendary singer Udit Narayan for a crucial track in the film. He has taken to his social media page to express excitement and post a few pics from the studio.
Debutant Vijay Muthupandi has penned lyrics for the song which will have voice lend by Senthil Ganesh as well. Imman and Udit had earlier teamed up for the song Baaga Unnara from Naan Avanillai 2 which was released in 2009. The latest song also marks Udit's come back to Kollywood after a seven-year hiatus.
His previous song in Tamil was Machi Machi from Idhu Enna Maayam composed by GV Prakash Kumar. Fans of Udit from Tamil Nadu are now eager to listen to the song which is expected to be out later this month.
Imman has been the composer for most of the movies helmed by Ponram. Some of the songs from their movies Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam and Rajini Murugan have gone on to become chartbusters. Music lovers are pinning high hopes on DSP as well; the film marks Vijay Sethupathi's first outing with Ponram.
Vijay Sethupathi, who has had a few notable outings in 2022, has half-a-dozen projects in his kitty, including some works in Hindi. He will be bidding adieu to 2022 with DSP.
