She season 2 is inching closer to its release, and promises more trials and tribulations in store for Aaditi Pohankar’s Bhumi as she goes back in undercover action. Pohankar, series creator and showrunner Imtiaz Ali and director Arif Ali recently opened up about what's in store for Bhumi this season.

In conversation with First Post, Imtiaz revealed that the new season would be ‘darker, deeper, bolder and more courageous’. Calling season 2 ‘intense’, the showrunner said that there would be moments where viewers felt that there was a reversal of the ‘expected journey’. Imtiaz talked about how people could feel challenged and scared as well as ‘powerful’ when entering the world of darkness as Bhumi did. The creator said that the new season would also explore themes of how darkness could also lead to one feeling more free and finding oneself.

Pohankar spoke of how Bhumi’s ‘triumphant’ steps last season led her to many paths, which she must muster all her courage for. The actress also said that Bhumi would have to figure out if she had what it takes to pay the ‘big price’ of going forward with her decisions this season.

Season 2 director Arif talked about how Bhumi was still on the path of trying to figure out who she is. That path leads her towards many trials and tribulations.

The crime drama also features Kishore Kumar G, Vishwas Kini, Shivani Rangole, Sam Mohan, and Suhita Thatte in prominent roles. Viacom 18 Studios' Tipping Point and Window Seat Films are the banners which have produced the show.

She season 2 will premiere on Netflix on June 17.
