In pictures: Suriya, Vijay Sethupathi, Karthi, and more attend Yogi Babu's daughter's birthday

Yogi Babu is one of the busiest actors in the Tamil film industry. And when he hosted a birthday party for his daughter on Tuesday, it saw the participation of all the top stars of the industry. Tamil superstars Suriya, Vijay Sethupathi, Karthi, Vishal, Jayam Ravi, Udhayanidhi Stalin, and other leading directors and producers of the industry were in attendance. 

A viral video from the party shows Suriya attempting to feed a piece of cake to the birthday girl, Bharani Karthika. However, she playfully refuses the treat. Eventually, Suriya gives the cake to her brother, Veshagan. The heartwarming video has been making the rounds on the internet.

Yogi Babu got married to Manju Bhargavi in February 2020 and the couple welcomed their first son Veshagan IN December of the same year. The couple were blessed with a baby girl in October 2022.

Yogi Babu is at the peak of his popularity in the Tamil film industry. It is as if no movies in Tamil happen without his presence in the cast. 

He began his career in the film industry playing comedic sidekick. And during the initial days of his career, he was often subjected to weight-related jokes. However, with growing awareness about the ills of body shaming and its effect on society, Tamil has reduced such humour.

Not just comedy, Yogi Babu is also offered leading roles in movies. He made quite an impression with his performance in the satirical drama Mandela. The 2021 movie, which is streaming on Netflix, garnered him a lot of critical acclaim and goodwill among the audiences. He also played the solo lead in the 2019 movie Gurkha. 

Yogi Babu was previously seen along with Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan in Jawan.
