IND vs AUS 4th Test LIVE: Match drawn and India take the series 2-1, both qualify for final of 2023 WTC

All of a sudden the two Aussie batters and the adjudicators on the field have decided that this it it. 

The 4th Test is drawn and India take the series 2-1. 

Both teams have also qualified to the finale of the 2023 WTC. 

Axar Patel gets his 50th Test wicket in style.

It was nicely tossed up outside off, which lured Head in drive. The ballburst past the inside edge, crashing into the top of off-stump.

With 2 runs, clipped away behind square on the on-side and Labuschagne raises his 1st fifty of the series, 15th in Tests.

He gets cheers from his teammates and Australia lead by 59 runs.

With a FOUR, Head gets his fifty. He has been hugely refreshing to the Aussie dressing room.

He raises his bat to acknowledge the cheers. 

As the luch break ends here, New Zealand went on to win their game against Sri Lanka.

With this, it will be Australia vs India in the WTC23 Final.

Rohit Sharma & co will have to thank Kane Willaimson and his boys, but esepcially toWilliamson for his terrific 100.

Kuhnemann is given out Lbw and the night watchman does not want to waste a review onto himself. He walks off and India have their first wicket. 

A simple decision for umpire Nitin Menon and Ashwin has India's first for the day.

This game still is still poised! 

Virat's determined 186 along with Axar Patel's handy innings with help from KS Bharat ensured India did get ahead and get a decent lead. 

91 is not sizeable enough to put loads of pressure on Australia because the pitch hasn't cracked up. However, for India to pull off a victory, they will need the pitch to help their bowlers.

India's lead is 91 runs and Australia will bat for 18 or so minutes before stumps today.

With no Shreyas Iyer, India will all out for 571.

Will this be enough to grant India victory or will the game draw or will India lose.

Top edge and taken at deep mid-wicket and Virat Kohli's innings comes to an end. 

Smith goes to congratulate Virat Kohli and even Murphy does the same. 

Virat tried to fetch the slog sweep, top edge, but it flew high and Marnus completed the catch.

Ashwin looked for the big slog-sweep, but the catch was taken at deep mid-wicket. It was a flighted delivery and Ashwin chanced his arm and perished.

Axar got an inside edge onto middle stump. He wanted to attack with a drive, but got done by the late shape back into the left-hander.

50 for Axar! He clips the ball behind square on the on-side for a single.

Gets a good round of applause from the home crowd who keep chanting his name.

75th 100 overall, 28th Test match 100 for Virat Kohli. Surely a sense of relief as he had to wait for it for a long time. He takes off the helmet off and kisses his ring. Axar hugs him to congratulate.

Ravi Shastri on air says "600kg Gorilla off his back". 

Bharat stands there in disbelief as Lyon has got another wicket to his name. Big wicket for Australia surely as they saw Bharat was playing aggressively. 

Bharat tried to defend with his bat but gets the inside edge onto pad and straight to short leg. 

Srikar Bharat c Handscomb b Lyon 44(88) [4s-2 6s-3]

Srikar Bharat made sure he will not be bogged down by Green's ploy. He smashed him for 2 SIXES and two fours and also saw the bowler bowl two no balls.

In total, India scored 21 runs in that one over, getting India's runs chase under 100.

Shreyas Iyer complained of pain in his lower back following the third day's play​. 

He has gone for scans and the BCCI Medical Team is monitoring him.​

Jadeja has thrown away his wicket. He looked like he ran out of patience. Jadeja looked to drill it but finds the man at mid-on and it was an easy take for Khawaja.

After a terrific performance by Shubman Gill after he scored 128 runs and was helped by Cheteshwar Pujara (42), Virat Kohli (59*) and Ravindra Jadeja (16*) continued the momentum.

Rohit Sharma was dismissed in the first session as Kuhnemann got him out.

India still trail by 191 runs, and the hosts will be looking forward to scoring some quick runs tomorrow.

First fifty for Virat Kohli after January 2022 - a fifty after 14 months. 

He took his time initially but got there with a gentle nudge through square leg. His 50 faced some drama as the umpire reckons Kohli was one run short. However, review showed he had a little part of his bat behind the crease. 

Australia must be happy after getting the wicket of Shubman Gill. It is a wicket against the run of play. He was also seen cramping and a little lapse in concentration led to his dismissal.

It was close, but Pujara went for the review. There was a flat line on UltraEdge as he's beaten on the inside edge in defence. The ball finds the front pad and it is crashing into middle and leg! 

Breakthrough for Australia just before tea.

He removes his helmet and raises the bat as the crowd that jumps in applause.

His second Test hundred, first was in Bangladesh! 

Shubman Gill plays a lovely punch off the back foot through the covers and the boundary brings up his fifty!

Rohit was shaping for the back-foot punch and the shot was on, but the ball ended up going and finding Labushagne at short cover-point. A wicket against the run of play.

India end Day 2 after scoring 36. Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill looked good with the bat.

Earlier, Khawaja amassed 180 while Green helped him with his maiden ton.

Ashwin did try to apply the brakes with his 6-fer, but could not do much to control the damage. 

Even the partnership between Lyon and Murphy added salt to India's wounds.

While R Ashwin pickes up his 6-fer, it was still a long, hard toil for the Indian team. The Aussie innings comes to an end after 167.2 overs. T

Usman Khawaja's 180 and Cameron Green's 114 had given Team India a lot of struggle. 

It will now be on the Men in Blue to not only chase down this total but also get a good and healty lead.

With the wicket of Nathan Lyon, R Ashwin finishes with six as Australia are bowled out for 480.

Murphy was given out LBW, but he went for the review. Murphy tries to defend but is beaten on the inside edge. The ball-tracking shows the ball clipping leg stump. 

With this wicket, Ashwin has a five-for!

Stayed on the crease for almost 10 hours and was closer to reaching 200, but he is sent back by Axar Patel. Rohit was not out on the field and Pujara, the stand-by goes for the review. 

UltraEdge confirms no bat involved and ball-tracking shows three reds, hitting leg-stump and Khawaja is OUT.

This is the first wicket for Axar Patel in 47.4 overs - the longest gap between two wickets for him in his Test career

A sharp catch by Shreyas Iyer at short leg. Starc tried to defend this ball, but it got a thick inside edge and flew straight to the close in fielder.

Ashwin gets his second scalp of the over and Carey is sent back for a duck. Carey hits the ball and gets a thick outside edge as it flies towards Axar at short third man.

The massive partnership has been broken by R Ashwin. A small but a relief for India. Ashwin tossed the delivery down the leg-side and Green went for a sweep. However, the ball brushes the batter's gloves and the keeper completes the catch.

Maiden 100 for Cameron Green. He took off his helmet and waved at the dressing room. He even got a hug from his partner.

With a FOUR, its 150 for Usman Khawaja. 

He raised his bat and acknowledged the applause. 

His partner Green went and congratulated him. 

With a run and it is Fifty for Cameron Green. He was on 49 at the end of Day 1 and then got his half-century at the start of Day 2.

It was Australia, moreover Khawaja's day today. Mohammed Shami claimed 2 wickets while Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja got 1 each.

But the Aussie batters put on a great show. Barring Khawaja (104) and Cameron Green (49*), all the other batsmen also contributed. Travis Head (32), Steven Smith (38) and Peter Handscomb (17).

Marnus Labuschagne (3) is the only batter who was dismissed quickly.

Khawaja gets a 100.

He accomplishes the triple digit milestone on this tour, becoming the first Australian.

In addition, he is the first Australian left-hander in 12 Tests and 13 years to achieve a Test century in India; the previous batsman to do so was Marcus North in Bengaluru in 2010–2011.

Shami gets his 2nd wicket. Hits the deck on a good length and Handscomb was caught on the back foot to defend it. The off-stump goes off and that's the fourth wicket down.

India somehow needed to break the partnership and Jadeja does it. Smith tried to steer it towards the off-side, but the ball kept straight, took the inside edge and hits the pads and strikes timber.

With a FOUR, Khawaja brings up his 22nd Test half-century, 3rd of this series.

After a not so good start by Shami, he was brought again to bowl and it did work. The ball nipped back in from back of a length. 

Labuschagne was caught in the crease and he got a thick inside edge and the ball struck timber.

The drinks break does the magic. R Ashwin comes to bowl and Head shimmies down the wicket and tries to take on the spinner. But he miscues it towards mid-on and Jadeja takes a safe catch moving across to his left. 

The batter was dropped earlier in the day by Bharat, but the keeper will be pretty pleased.
