IND vs NZ 1st T20I Highlight: Umran Malik hits 4, India finishes at 155, and New Zealand wins by 21 runs, taking 1-0 lead

New Zealand win by 21 runs and take a 1-0 lead in the three-match T20I series.

Surely not the series start India wanted, especially after a terrific ODI perfromace.

India struggled with the bat and ball.

Despite no support, Washington Sundar smashes his maiden T20I fifty.

However, there is no celebration from him as he knows India is still losing.

The Indian batters are falling like a pack of cards. Kuldeep backed away and tried to fend it down but the ball angled in and took the outside edge.

Skipper Santner can do no wrong today. Leaving the toss, he is winning at everything else. That little bit of hesitation cost Mavi the distance he fell short of.

Santner expected the big shot but Hooda was drawn into the drive and the ball spins and beats him on the outside edge. Conway collects the ball and does the rest behind the stumps.

Bracewell was brought on for Washington, however, he got the wicket of Hardik Pandya. India surely are in deep trouble.

Ish Sodhi breaks the partnership, and it's obvious that India didn't want this wicket to go. New Zealand has a significant wicket with this one. Because of the chip's too-accurate timing, the ball carries all the way to long-on.

Seeing his partners leave from the otherside, by the time he got the chance, he was dismissed. Santner slowed it up and got the ball to spin away wide of off and Shubman Gill tried to maul the pull leg-side but ended up chipping it off the leading edge.

Jacob Duffy kept the ball on a good length and got it shaping away in the fifth stump corridor. Tripathi looked to play with hard hands but got a faint outside edge and the keeper did the rest.

Ishan Kishan had no clue what happened as the ball was pitched on middle and leg. It gripped off the surface and turned sharply to hit the top of the bails.

The final over saw Arshdeep give away 27 runs and the Kiwis scored 176/6 in their 20 overs. 

The BlackCaps got a good start before Washington Sundar came and took two quick wickets.

Mitchell has a 26-ball fifty, his 4th in T20Is

The ball was dug in short and dragged wide of off-stump and Santner looked to power the pull leg-side. However, he only found deep mid-wicket and Tripathi took a good catch.

Mitchell fails to get bat on the slog and the ball clips the thigh pad before rolling to the left. The Indian keeper runs and collects it and hits the ball straight at the stumps disloging it.

He caught Bracewell just short of his crease and the Kiwis loose two wickets in an over.

Conway looks to thump it down the ground but the ball dips in Deepak Hooda at long-off.

Glenn Phillips goes for the slog sweep but sends the ball high to find the man at deep mid. SKY takes an easy catch.

Finn Allen slogged the ball across the line and it took off after htting the inner half of the bat and found the man at deep mid. It was an easy catch for SKY.
