India has already clinched the series 2-0 and the third match against New Zealand will be the host looking for a clean sweep. India, with a clean sweep, will be eyeing to become the top-ranked side in the ODI standings.

In the ODI series, the Rohit Sharma-led side won the first game by 12 runs and then carried on the winning momentum and registered a convincing eight-wicket triumph in the next game.

For the Kiwis, two back-to-back defeats, it has forced them to slip to the second spot in the ICC Men's ODI Team Rankings.

    Big win this for Rohit Sharma and his men as after being asked to bat first he and Gill put on a good show. Rohit and Gill scored their centuries while Pandya scored his half-century. Thakur played a crucial cameo to Take the score to 385/9.

    In reply, the Kiwi side were shook with a wicket taken by Pandya in the second ball. The Indian bowlers held their nerve and struck with the older ball. 

    BlackCaps saw Conway-Nicholls and Conway-Mitchell, however, once the middle order was exposed, they lost wickets in quick succession. Conway played some outstanding shots in his hundred, but it went in vain.

    IND vs NZ: WICKET - Jacob Duffy goes for a duck

    Googly from Chahal and Duffy who was looking to defend it saw the ball sneak past the inside edge. The umpire raised the finger and Duffy sent it upstairs. Ball tracker shows umpires call with ball hitting a decent part of top of middle.

    What a catch! Rohit plucks it out of the air. Ferguson mistimed it totally and it looked like a top edge. Rohit was well in at short mid-wicket, but moved back and stretched his right hand fully and held onto the ball.

    Stumped and Michael Bracewell has to go! Kuldeep fired the ball down leg on seeing Bracewell advance. The batter got into a tangle where he was in an awful position to even get balance. Ishan Kishan, collected the ball and ignited the sticks in time.

    A wicket right after the break - surely not an uncommon site. At 142ks, Umran Malik skiddy length delivery saw Conway hit the ball towards Rohit at mid-wicket and the Indian skipper takes a good catch.

    Lord Shardul Thakur is doing it for India. He has three wickets in the space of 10 balls. Glenn Phillips did not anticipate the delivery to arrive so quick and his attempted pull finds a thick top-edge. The ball went high up in the air Kohli takes a easy catch at short mid-wicket.

    IND vs NZ: WICKETS - 2 in 2 for Shardul Thakur

    First Daryl Mitchell and soon after skipper Tom Latham, Shardul Thakur gets 2 in 2. 

    For Mitchell, he was caught by Ishan Kishan but did not look too pleased. The ball was pretty close to the gloves and the Indian celebrated soon as the catch was taken. However, the umpire did not give and out and India went for a review which proved to be successful.

    Soon after, Tom Latham came out to bat, but was not given enough time to settle. Kohli was half-celebrating even before the catch was taken. The knuckle ball full toss from Shardul dipped late and Latham tried to drive straight. However, it flew low to the left of mid-off and Hardik claimed the catch inches above the turf.

    India posted a massive total in ODIs, but is it safe enough on this ground is what will need to be seen. Rohit and Gill give an outstanding start as they put on a double-century opening stand. 

    At this time, 420 also looked easy, however, the BlackCaps made a stellar comeback and India lost 6 wickets for 101 runs.
