The team of Shankar's Indian 2, starring Kamal Haasan in the lead, resumed its shooting a few months ago after makers sorted out the differences between each other. Kajal Aggarwal also joined the team even as she continues to enjoy motherhood after the arrival of her baby boy.

A couple of pictures of Kamal Haasan are now doing the rounds on social media after the Ulaganayagan arrived at Andhra Pradesh for the shooting of the movie. He was spotted wearing an off-white round neck t-shirt and brown pants. The actor-filmmaker looked dapper with sunglasses on.

A few videos of him landing at the neighbouring state, too, have been going viral. According to sources, the shooting is happening at places near Gandikota. Kajal is also expected to be part of the current schedule. Udhayanidhi's Red Giant Movies and Lyca Productions are jointly bankrolling the project which is likely to hit the screens in 2024.

Anbariv and Anirudh are in charge of action choreography and music respectively for the film which features a bevy of stars including Rakul Preet, Siddharth, Gulshan Grover and Priya Bhavani Shankar among others.

Though Kamal Haasan was supposed to team up with Mollywood filmmaker Mahesh Narayanan after completing Indian 2, an official announcement on the same is awaited. A movie each with Pa Ranjith, Vetri Maaran and Lokesh Kanagaraj are also on the cards for the Vikram star.

Shankar's previous outing was Rajinikanth-starrer 2.0, which went on to set the cash registers ringing despite opening to above average reviews from critics. The maverick filmmaker is leaving no stone unturned to make Indian 2 one of the best works in his three decade-old career.
