The team of Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan's Indian 2 today dropped a brand new poster of Kamal Haasan in his iconic character Senapathy on the occasion of Independence Day. In the poster, Kamal Haasan is seen giving a stern look at someone and it looks like his character has no mercy for the wrong doers. Senapathy is a freedom fighter turned vigilante and Kamal Haasan first played the character in the original film, Indian (1996).

The actor will be reprising the cult character after a span of 25 years. The first part of Indian  had culminated with an epilogue which hinted that Senapathy would be back in case his presence was needed in the country. It looks like the character is finally back and how. The shoot for Indian 2 has been wrapped and post production work is in full swing.

Indian 2 has an ensemble cast which includes Kamal Haasan , Siddharth, Kajal Agarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Gulshan Grover, Bobby Simha, Samuthirakani, Guru Somasundaram, Delhi Ganesh, Jayaprakash, Vennela Kishore to name a few. The film will also feature the late Nedumudi Venu and Vivekh.

The team has used the de-aging VFX technology to show a younger Kamal Haasan. Shankar had dropped a picture from the studio of Lola VFX, one of the pioneers in VFX in Hollywood and has films like Irishman and Avengers End Game to their credit.

While music for the film is by Anirudh Ravichander , cinematography is by R Rathnavelu and Ravi Varman, and editing by A Sreekar Prasad.  Lyca Productions and Red Giant Movies are bankrolling the film.
