The shoot for Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan's upcoming film Indian 2 has been going on in a brisk space. After a short schedule in Taiwan, Kamal Haasan and team have now headed to South Africa for the next schedule. Picture of Kamal Haasan enroute the African nation is doing the rounds on the internet.

 The film's director Shankar and Kamal Haasan had dropped a number of pictures from multiple locales in Taiwan. But what caught the eye was a picture shared by Kalidas Jayaram in which is seen posing with both Shankar and Kamal Haasan. We hear that Kalidas plays Kamal Haasan's son in the film. Interestingly, Kalidas had played Kamal Haasan's son in his last action entertainer Vikram, and Meen Kuzhambum Mann Paanaiyum as well. The Taiwan schedule was recently wrapped up and Shankar had made the announcement on his social media handle.

It is said that after the schedule in South Africa, the team will be shooting some portions in India as well. The shoot for the film was put on hold after a fatal accident on the sets in 2020. Later, the shoot was further delayed due to the pandemic and Kamal Haasan got busy with Lokesh Kanagaraj's last outing Vikram.

The film has an ensemble star cast which includes Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, Gulshan Grover, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Siddharth, Bobby Simha, Samuthirakani, Guru Somasundaram,Delhi Ganesh, Jayaprakash, Vennela kishore, Deepa Shankar, to name a few. Certain portions shot with late comedian Vivekh will be retained in the film, thus marking his last release.

Music for the film is by Anirudh Ravichander, cinematography by Rathnavelu and Ravi Varman and editing by A Sreekar Prasad. Shankar is simultaneously shooting for Ram Charan's 15th film, which has been titled Game Changer. The film, which has a story by Karthik Subbaraj, marks Shankar's debut in Telugu.
