Today marks the 91st anniversary of the Indian Air Force (IAF). In celebration, the IAF revealed its new ensign during the annual Air Force Day parade in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. This update aims to more accurately represent the IAF's core values, a thoughtful move coming 72 years after a similar initiative was last undertaken.

Celebrity greetings...

On this joyous occasion, several celebrities from the Indian film fraternity greeted the Armed Forces on the day.

Taking to microblogging site X, renowned actor Ajay Devgn wrote, “On Indian Air Force Day, I salute those brave soldiers whom God has kept for our protection. Jai Hind #IAF #IndianAirForceDay2023” 

National award-winning actress Kangana Ranaut wrote and treated her fans with the trailer of her upcoming patriotic film, Tejas. Not only this, but she expressed what this day means to her. She said, “Ab aasman se dushman pe waar hoga, ab jung ka elaan hoga! Ye woh Bharat hai, jisko chhedoge toh woh chhodega nahi! #TejasTrailer out now. #Tejas In cinemas on 27th Oct. #BharatKoChhedogeTohChhodengeNahi | To the fearless warriors of the skies, a very Happy Indian Air Force Day! @indianairforce #IndianAirForceDay #TejasOnIAFday”

Critically acclaimed actor Anupam Kher wrote, “Best wishes to all on Indian Air Force Day! The air warriors of our sky protect us and our country. We thank these warriors every day, especially today. Jai Hind! #Indian #AirforceDay @IAF_MCC”

Film producer Ronnie Screwvala also wrote a short and sweet message that read, “To the fearless warriors of the skies, a very Happy Indian Air Force Day! @IAF_MCC”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi greeted Indians on the occasion as well. He said, “Best wishes to all air warriors and their families on Air Force Day. India is proud of the valour, commitment and dedication of the Indian Air Force. Their great service and sacrifice ensure our skies are safe.”
