Indian Police Force is Rohit Shetty’s latest brainchild and has touched hearts and electrified their zeal for good and evil. The first episode of the series premiered today, before more episodes drop weekly. Already, the show has garnered a mass following among viewers, most of whom declare it too good to be missed.

Nearly all viewers on Twitter have dropped raving reviews of Indian Police Force

The show stars the iconic likes of Sidharth Malhotra, Shilpa Shetty, Vivek Oberoi, Sharad Kelkar, Shweta Tripathi, Nikitin Dheer, Lalit Parimoo, Mukesh Rishi, and Rituraj Singh in prominent roles. But the first episode has bowled over the hearts of twitter users as nearly all dropped raving reviews of the show.

Why does Rohit Shetty's formula work on OTT as well?

Most had been pleasantly shocked by the sincere performances of Sidharth Malhotra and Shilpa Shetty, as this project marks their OTT debut. Rohit Shetty is also new to the digital realm, but an established filmmaker like him knows his winning formula and wisely uses it to provide a cinematic experience to viewers from the comfort and luxury of their sofas and beds.

The film itself is infused with patriotic and loyalist themes, which, at a glance, appear stereotypical and unoriginal. But the execution and sheer scale of a terrorist crime thriller, along with the theme of bomb blasts being handled by dedicated cops who are determined to make a difference, are what make a mark.

Viewers do not need to be brainwashed by empty and regurgitated ideas of idealism, which this series has enforced, at least initially, by employing Shilpa Shetty’s Tara to keep a leash on Sidharth Malhotra’s Kabir, who is intelligent and fearless but too headstrong and emotion-driven.

Though the critics have not been too favourable towards the show, with average ratings and complaints of unoriginality, Rohit Shetty is sure to bring more cinematic thrills to the phone screen in the upcoming episodes of Indian Police Force, along with significant appearances and performances by the rest of the talented ensemble cast.
