One of the highest-rated Amazon Prime Video shows Inside Edge is gearing up for a comeback with a binge-promising season 3. Fans are equally delighted and excited as they expect the team to bring back the elements of surprise, curiosity and freshness, like the previous seasons. The International Emmys nominated series has now got a release date, which is also the first-ever web series introduced by Amazon Prime Video India. Here are more details about the show:

When and where to watch Season 3?

The most-anticipated Season 3 will be released on December 3, 2021. The season will have 10 episodes, which all will be released on the same date. It will be available to stream online on the platform.

What is Inside Edge about?

The series, which was released in 2017, revolves around Mumbai Mavericks, a fictional T20 cricket team. Set in the landscape of many conflicting interests, the team could be seen playing in the Powerplay League, where money and power go hand-in-hand. The series further follows the ups and downs of the team, exploring how money, power and politics ruin the sportsmanship of the game.

Where did the second season end?

The second season had signed off with a brilliant cliffhanger, leaving the fans with plenty of questions. The final episode draws its curtain as the PPL director announces the two-year ban of the team, after getting caught for match-fixing and illegal betting.

Who is the cast?

An introduction to the main cast, the series features Vivek Oberoi as Vikrant Dhawan, the founder of a top sports management company. Richa Chadha will be seen as Zarina Malik, who is an actress and the co-owner of Mumbai Mavericks. Tanuj Virwani will be appearing as Vayu Raghavan, the star player of the team, and Siddhant Chaturvedi as Prashant Kanaujia, the fast bowler of the team. The series also features actors like Aamir Bashir, Sapna Pabbi, Angad Bedi and Amit Sial.

Who are the creators?

Created by Karan Anshuman, the show is written by him along with Saurav Dey, Ameya Sarda, Niren Bhatt and Sailesh Ramaswamy. Under Excel Entertainment’s production, Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar are on board as executive producers.
