Interstellar re-release box office advance booking: Christopher Nolan epic is heading to a solid start beating Loveyapa and Badass Ravi Kumar

Interstellar Re-release Box Office Advance Booking: India is currently a hotbed of releases, especially in the Hindi film industry (Bollywood). January witnessed multiple releases, with every Friday packed with new films. February 2025 looks equally solid with a full slate of releases. Among them, re-releases are also dominating, often competing with fresh releases at the box office. But it seems a storm is brewing for a re-release that might just overshadow two major new Hindi releases this week. Yes, you read that right. Read on to know more.

Interstellar Advance Booking

Directed by Christopher Nolan, Interstellar was originally released in 2014. The film stars Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, Timothée Chalamet, and a star-studded ensemble cast. It is set in a future where Earth becomes uninhabitable, and a former NASA pilot, Joseph Cooper, is tasked with piloting a spacecraft to find a new planet for humanity. 

As per a viral tweet from an X user named Charlie, the Interstellar re-release has generated massive buzz. The advance booking began a few days ago, and it is fascinating to see how well it has performed at the Indian box office. The film has already recorded pre-sales of Rs 2.01 crore with over 2,50,000 tickets sold, grossing approximately Rs 8 crore on the opening day.

The re-release of Interstellar in India is expected to outperform other Hollywood re-releases, like Titanic, which grossed Rs 20 crore in its re-run. Interestingly, advance bookings in Bhubaneswar opened on Wednesday, 48 hours before the first screenings, while the rest of the country began a month ago. Due to high demand, Bhubaneswar opened three additional slots, with as many as six screenings per day from Friday to Sunday. Even those slots are filling up quickly.

Badass Ravi Kumar Advance Bookings

Badass Ravi Kumar, starring Himesh Reshammiya and pitched against Prabhudevaa, has already garnered significant attention. According to online reports, the movie has secured good advance bookings, with close to 15,000 tickets sold across the major chains in India. This gives the film a solid head start, especially compared to Loveyapa, which hasn't seen nearly as many advance bookings.

As per Pinkvilla, Badass Ravi Kumar is expected to open with collections between Rs 4 crore and Rs 5.5 crore.

Loveyapa Advance Booking Updates

In contrast, Loveyapa has sold only 1,000 tickets across the three major national chains, including PVR, Inox, and Cinepolis. This accounts for an opening-day collection between Rs 75 lakh and Rs 1.5 crore, which isn't a strong start. Badass Ravi Kumar is set to release on February 7, 2025.
