K-pop idols thrive when they receive appreciation from their fans, but unfortunately, there are instances when these idols face inappropriate behaviour from certain overzealous "fans." One such incident occurred on October 26, 2023, involving BTS' Jeon Jungkook, ASTRO's Cha Eunwoo, and NCT's Jaehyun, who encountered a fan disturbing their private time.

A video surfaced online, depicting the three idols, known as the "97-liners" as they were all born in 1997, enjoying a drink in the popular Apgujeong district. However, their evening took an uncomfortable turn when an overzealous fan approached them. Despite the trio's usual friendliness toward fans in public, this particular encounter seemed to cross boundaries.

In the video, the three stars appeared visibly uncomfortable as the fan initially requested an autograph. However, when Jungkook seemed confused and unable to understand the request, it created a bewildering situation. Recognizing Cha Eunwoo, the fan politely gestured an apology with folded hands, but their persistence continued, with more unintelligible questions. In Korean, Jungkook politely informed the fan that they were in a private moment, while Jaehyun translated in English, expressing their desire for privacy.

Though the fan eventually departed, they later shared their side of the story on Instagram. They claimed not to have recognized Jaehyun initially and noted the presence of a non-celebrity in the group. The fan also posted videos taken from a distance, which were later shared on X (formerly known as Twitter).

The situation worsened when the fan retrieved the used cups from the boys' table, identifying each cup and declaring their ownership. Even after the group left the restaurant, the fan continued to behaviour approach Jungkook, asking if they could sing for him, mentioning how they had "touched" him.

This intrusive behavior prompted significant backlash from other fans online, particularly ARMY, who are urging the idols' agencies to take strict action against such fans. The fan who shared their experience eventually deleted their Instagram account.behaviour

Such actions not only disrespect the artists but also make them uncomfortable and many fans strongly disapproved of the incident.
