Irai teaser: Sarath Kumar is back with a whodunit in this web series which will premiere on aha

It was announced earlier that the web series, Irai, starring Sarath Kumar in the lead, will premiere on aha from February 18. Taapsee Pannu announced the release of the project officially recently and wished success to its producer Radhika Sarath Kumar. Jayam Ravi has now released its teaser.

The actor took to his Twitter account to post, Here’s the official teaser of the web series IRAI - இரை. Looks very intriguing and promising with @realsarathkumar sir as Robert Vasudevan. The hunt begins! All the best @ahaTamil @realradikaa ma'am @RajeshMSelva and team (sic)."

The one-minute teaser offers a sneak peek into the story of the series. It begins with the murder of a couple of people in a brutal manner. How Robert Vasudevan played by Sarath Kumar starts the investigation with the help of a few clues forms the rest of the story. 

The action-packed mystery thriller has music composed by Ghibran. San Lokesh has edited the project which has been directed by Rajesh M Selva. Manoj Kumar Kalaivanan and Rajesh Manjunath have written the screenplay and dialogues along with Rajesh, while S Yuva has handled its cinematography. 

Stunt Silva and Stunner Sam have jointly choreographed the action sequences for Irai which has art direction by V Sasikumar. The project is based on the book, Birds of Prey, written by Archana Sarat. Nizhalgal Ravi, Abishek Shankar, Sri Krishna Dayal, Gouri Nair, Shrisha and Sriranjani Prabhu among others will be seen essaying pivotal roles in the series. 

Sarath Kumar, who was last seen in Vaanam Kottatum (streaming on Amazon Prime Video), previously played a hero in Sandamarudham (streaming on MX Player) which released in 2015. Currently busy with a few projects, he has the magnum opus Ponniyin Selvan and Paamban in Tamil in his kitty.
