Is Allu Arjun in talks for Aditya Dhar’s ‘The Immortal Ashwatthama’? Here’s what we know

Ever since the time ‘The Immortal Ashwatthama’ had been announced, it has not stopped making news. To start with, at a time when the film was to star Vicky Kaushal as the leading man, the actor took to social media and even shared the ‘making of the first look’. Gradually, for reasons best known to the film’s makers and Vicky Kaushal, the latter moved out of the film. Thereafter began the search for the perfect man who would be suitable to play the titular role in the film ‘The Immortal Ashwatthama’ .

Only a few days ago, there were ‘strong buzz’ that, Ranveer Singh was approached to play the said role. Later, it came to light that the actor was not approached at all. The latest update about the film is that it is now the Pan-India superstar Allu Arjun, who has now been approached for the much-coveted role. in talks with Jio Studios.

The same article had a source quote which stated that the film ‘The Immortal Ashwatthama’ is Aditya Dhar’s dream, which would come to life with Jio Studios coming on board as the producers and that the filmmaker and top officials at Jio Studios were in talks with Allu Arjun to play the lead. The same article stated that, even though Allu Arjun has expressed his interest in the film, there is nothing concrete which has come out of the meetings which have been taking place over the last two months.

As for Allu Arjun, after the humungous success of his film ‘Pushpa’, he is now readying for the film’s sequel ‘Pushpa: The Rule’. Besides that, there are a few films for which he has given his nod. These films include the ones down south and also reportedly a big banner film in Bollywood. The details of the same are being awaited.
