Emraan Hashmi on Awarapan 2 movie

Emraan Hashmi’s Bollywood journey began nearly two decades ago with Footpath, but his breakthrough roles came in mystery thrillers like Murder, Zeher, and other films. Recently, he is enjoying the success of his web series, Showtime. On Saturday, the actor had an interaction with fans where he answered some of their interesting queries. One of them includes his 2007 film, Awarapan. The film may not have performed well at the box office, but it gained cult status and popularity later.

During the online conversation, Emraan Hashmi took to X (formerly Twitter) and waved hello to his fans. Soon, netizens showered the post with questions, and the Showtime actor even answered some. A social media user suggested Emraan that he should work on Awarapan 2. Following this, Emraan also expressed his desire to work on the second part. “Awarapan 2 bana lo” (Make Awarapan 2), a netizen shared, followed by Emraan’s optimistic reply, “Mein bhi wahi soch raha hu (I’m thinking the same).”

Fans react to his performance in Showtime

Several netizens lauded Emraan’s performance as a producer in Karan Johar’s Showtime. His character, Raghu Khanna, has been in the limelight ever since the series dropped on Disney+Hotstar. In the conversation, he expressed gratitude to fans for loving his performance.

One of the users also asked about his experience for portraying the role of a freedom fighter in the upcoming film Ae Watan Mere Watan. The Tiger 3 actor revealed that he was quite anxious before taking the role, but he had immense faith in director Kannan.

“Loved it !! Was very anxious to take it up. But had immense faith in my director Kannan,” Emraan wrote on X.
