Is this the plot of Vignesh Shivan’s LIK? After Love Today and Dragon, can Pradeep Ranganathan make controversial one-liner a hit?

Actor and filmmaker Pradeep Ranganathan has delivered back-to-back hits with Love Today and the recently released Dragon. Both the films have become 100-crore blockbusters, with the latter running in theatres. Pradeep, who is clear that his concentration right now is acting, will be next seen in LIK – Love Insurance Kompany, which is directed by Vignesh Shivan.

LIK plot revealed?

LIK is an upcoming Tamil film starring Pradeep Ranganathan in the lead role. The film is written and directed by filmmaker Vignesh Shivan. As per the latest social media posts, the plot of the film is a futuristic romantic drama which revolves around father and son falling in love with the same girl. Vignesh, who is known for his whacky ideas, has also written the film. Now, the plot has the danger to run into controversial lines, but given the film has powerhouse of talents like Pradeep alongside SJ Suryah, one has to wait and watch how LIK would turn out to be.

LIK also features Krithi Shetty as the female lead, and Gouri Kishan playing an important role. The music for the film is scored by Anirudh Ravichander. The upcoming film is produced by Vignesh Shivan and Seven Screen Studio. Vignesh Shivan’s wife and actor Nayanthara, has been credited as the producer of the film. It is shot by cinematographer Sathyan Sooryan and the edits are handled by Pradeep E Raghav.

Dragon OTT release

Meanwhile, Pradeep Ranganathan’s Dragon is currently running in theatres. The film is written and directed by Ashwath Marimuthu and has already entered the 100-crore club. Netflix has bagged the post-theatrical rights of the film with an OTT release date yet to be announced.

On the other hand, Krithi Shetty’s Telugu film Manamey is now available for streaming on Prime Video. The romantic drama stars Sharwanand in the lead role. The film follows a charming young man, played by Sharwanand, who is unexpectedly forced to take care of his friend’s son, along with Krithi Shetty.
