Ishaa Saha is slightly relaxed as all the backlogs of her films during the covid period have finally been released. On March 17, her Ghore Pherar Gaan was released. Directed by Aritra Sen, the film features Parambrata Chatterjee, Gourab Chatterjee, Reshmi Sen, and others.

Ghore Pherar Gaan is a story of a young woman, Tora, played by Ishaa. It is about her journey and how Tora settles down in a new city, London. How did she enjoy working with a new director? “If you think about it, I have always worked with new directors. I worked on Anindyada’s (Chattopadhyay) second film, Dhruboda’s (Benerjee) first film, Shiladitya Moulik’s first film, and so on. In my experience, each of the new directors brought some new styles and ideas and I learnt from them. Aritra thinks differently. His ideas are modern and relatable. He lived in London and knows the city very well. He captured it beautifully. He and I are almost of the same age and hence the communication has been easier,” she said. Meanwhile, she also pointed out that she is yet to work with senior directors. “I am yet to work with seasoned directors. I think they will need some more time to select me in their films,” the actress quipped.

While talking to OTTplay at the music launch event, Ishaa said that working with Parambrata is one of the reasons she agreed to do the film. “There are two things that draw me to a film – the story is something and the scope of my character. I think It is the same for almost everyone. Ghore Pherar Gaan is Tora’s story. The film captures her emotional journey and I loved it. On top of that, I got to work with Paramda (Parambrata). He is one of the inspirations of our generation’s actors,” she said.
