Plot and cast of Ithiri Neram
The main character of the movie is Anish, who is going to a long-due drinking party with two friends the day before his daughter's baptism. That same day, his ex-girlfriend Anjana unexpectedly calls to ask if they might get together before she decides to relocate to the United States. Their decision to get together sets them up for an evening of contemplation and closure-seeking. Ithiri Neram, directed by Prasanth Vijay, explores the complex dynamics of love and complicated connections in the context of a culture that adheres strictly to gender norms.
