It's official: Priya Bhavani Shankar's Blood Money to release directly on Zee5 on December 24

We had reported recently that Priya Bhavani Shankar's film with Sarjun has been titled Blood Money and that it is likely to have a direct OTT release around Christmas. The team has now made it official. The crime thriller will premiere on Zee5 from December 24.

Kishore and Shirish among others will be seen essaying pivotal roles in the film which has music by Satish Raghunathan. A lion's share of the project were shot in and around Rameswaram. The film's story revolves around a murder and Priya plays a journalist in it.

This is the first movie of the actress in which she plays the lead role. The team had shared a few working stills earlier on social media though its title was kept under the wraps. Arya and Venkat Prabhu revealed the movie's first look and title recently.

G Balamurugan has cranked the camera for the movie which has editing by Prasanna GK. Produced by Irfan Malik under the banner of Emperor Entertainment, the makers had wrapped up the shooting of Blood Money a while ago. 

Priya has Atharvaa-starrer Kuruthi Aattam, too, releasing on the same day, albeit its a theatrical release. Her movie with Arun Vijay, Yaanai, is also ready for a theatrical release. The actress, who currently has half-a-dozen projects in Tamil, was last seen in Oh Manapenne (streaming on Disney+ Hotstar).

Earlier, she had expressed the excitement of headlining a project on her social media account. Meanwhile, Sarjun's last outing was Atharvaa-starrer Thunintha Pin for Mani Ratnam's Navarasa (streaming on Netflix).
