It's official: Vineeth Sreenivasan to direct Pranav Mohanlal, Nivin Pauly in Varshangalkku Shesham. Details inside

Malayalam star Pranav Mohanlal on Thursday annonced his next film titiled Varshangalkku Shesham. The project will mark his reunion with actor-director Vineeth Sreenivasan after 2022's hit romantic drama Hridayam. 

Vineeth has put together a dream team for his second outing with Pranav. The film's cast roster is teeming with some of the finest talents that the Malayalam cinema has to offer, including Nivin Pauly. The film's star-studded cast includes Dhyan Sreenivasan, Aju Varghese, Kalyani Priyadarshan, Basil Joseph, Neeraj Madhav, Neeta Pillai, Arjun Lal, Nikhil Nair and composer Shaan Rahman. Besides writing and directing Vineeth Sreenivasan is also playing a key role in the movie.

Varshangalkku Shesham seems like an ambitious outing for Vineeth. And the project is likely to spark a lot of anticipation among the fans of Malayalam cinema, considering the success of Hridayam. The coming-of-age story told the story of a young man named Arun, who goes to Chennai to enjoy a taste of freedom away from the prying eyes of his family and neighbours. However, Arun's fantasy about the pleasures of college life is challenged when the reality of life catches up. In the ignorance of youth, Arun makes several mistakes, including breaking the heart of the girl he loves and finds himself on a journey of self-discovery. The feel-good movie tracing a man's journey from being an arrogant youth to an emotionally well-sorted individual received a lot of love at the box office. Hridayam became one of the highest-grossing Malayalam movies of 2022. 

Varshangalkku Shesham will be bankrolled by Merryland Cinemas, who also bankrolled Hridayam. 

Meanwhile, Vineeth is also waiting for the release of for the release of his upcoming movie Kurukkan. Touted as a dark comedy, Vineeth plays a cop who's on a trail of a murder investigation. Directed by Jayalal Divakaran, the film also stars Sreenivasan and Shine Tom Chacko in the lead roles. 

Kurukkan is due in cinemas this month.
