G.O.A.T., a JioCinema project starring Jacqueline Fernandez, will mark her long-awaited entry into the OTT space. This marks the actor's web series debut after her few movies released directly on streaming, namely, Drive and Mrs. Serial Killer on Netflix and Bhoot Police on Disney+ Hotstar.

Details of G.O.A.T. and lead cast

Confirming the news, a source close to the production revealed to MidDay that Jacqueline was first considered for the role. She, along with Neil Nitin Mukesh, is the show's lead actor. Abhishek Sharma, who directed Ram Setu, will helm this production.

Aside from that, the source disclosed that their primary shoot is in Mumbai, which is about all they know about the project. Over the course of the next four months, they will be filming in various locations throughout the city. The series' narrative and cast are sure to attract viewers once production begins in November.

Jacqueline's perspective on the OTT space

Earlier, while talking about OTT space, Jacqueline told Filmfare that it's fantastic to be able to watch shows and films from all over the world whenever and wherever one likes. It's great that it's given opportunities to artists and professionals all over the world who might not have had them in the more exclusive world of big-screen releases. So, the actor understood that, as an actor, since she was born before OTT was a thing, she has seen it develop and expand over the years. Jacqueline thinks it's great that the audience is changing alongside the industry and the medium. It's incredible that in order for them to develop as viewers, they require a wide variety of narratives, content pieces, actors, and performances.

The actor's upcoming film is Fateh, co-starring Sonu Sood. Jacqueline appeared earlier this year in a dance number called Deewane in the film Selfiee, alongside Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashmi.

Jacqueline's experience with Jean-Claude Van Damme

Recently, Jacqueline also spoke about her international project during an interview with Filmfare. She stated, "I recently shot a film with Jean-Claude Van Damme in Italy, and it was just great to be able to work with such an icon and legend, a true action hero I have looked up to and grown up with in his films. Me and my family have a collection of all his films, and we used to replay them all the time. We never thought in my wildest dreams that I would ever shoot a film with him. But it is a great role, and it is a fantastic script with action, drama, and suspense all rolled into one. It has just been a great experience."
