Santhosh Ananddram's Raghavendra Stores promises a classic Jaggesh comedy that brims with the Navarasa Nayaka's trademark mannerisms, humour and dialogues. Jaggesh, who turned 60 earlier this year on March 17, stars in the role of a middle-aged bachelor whose loveless life compels him to look for romance and a partner. He plays a cook in the film and judging by the poster, the title and other glimpses of the film, food and cooking, too, play a big role here.

As far as the story and the emotional core of the film are concerned, Jaggesh shares that Raghavendra Stores boasts a perfect blend of rolling-on-the-floor comedy and tear-jerking sentiments.

Speaking about this and his equation with writer-director Santhosh Ananddram in a recent interview with a media outlet, he said, "I have known Santhosh for many years and over time, we bonded over our mutual interest in spirituality. We could sit and talk for hours about meditation and similar topics but this is the first we got together for a film. What I really liked about his approach was he did not try to 'handle' an actor like me who has been around for 43 years. Instead, what he did was he came to me with a great script - I could not tell you how good it is. When a person watches it, they will be in splits laughing and this will go on till the interview and about 20 minutes after that. And then suddenly, the film turns on its head and the sentiments will kick in at this point. This portion will make the hardest of souls break down and cry. The final 20 minutes of the film have an important social message about the misuse of social media - we have a lot of people in current times who use social media to boast about themselves without having achieved anything. So, in short, I believe strongly that Raghavendra Stores will remain in people's hearts for a very long time."

Raghavendra Stores arrives in cinema halls on April 30 - Hombale Films serve as the film's producer.
