Jai Ganesh teaser - Unni Mukundan discovers his superpowers in this intriguing fantasy saga | Watch here

Unni Mukundan’s most-awaited teaser of fantasy drama Jai Ganesh has finally dropped. Directed by Ranjith Sankar, the teaser showcases actress Mahima Nambiar’s character narrating the tale of Jai Ganesh (played by Unni Mukundan) through a comic book. The teaser takes us through the beautiful village of Siddha Nadu but then warns about an impending danger. Actor Ashokan recounts the story of his son Ganesh, who wanted to be a biker. But during his college days, he took his father’s bike without his knowledge and met with an unfortunate accident, leaving him paralysed below waist.  

Now, chained to a wheelchair, a depressed Jai Ganesh attempts suicide by jumping into the Siddha Kulam (pool). But, in the depths of the pool, he discovers the secret behind his birth. While others around him suspect that this incident gave him superpowers, this was in fact the beginning of something new for Jai Ganesh. The teaser ends with Unni Mukundan’s saying, “Now wait for a miracle, Ayaan”. Who is Ayaan? And what is the secret behind his new-found superpowers? You will find the answers to these questions on April 11 at cinemas near you!  

The teaser overall promises a superhero saga with Unni Mukundan, something that we are all waiting to unravel!

Written and directed by Ranjith Sankar, the new film will showcase Unni Mukundan playing the role of paraplegic designer Ganesh Gangadharan, who has been battling his inner demons and longs to be treated like others and not be pitied upon. The makers had earlier mentioned that the film will have both fantasy and action elements. Malayalam actress Jomol is making a comeback in this fantasy drama. The actress will be playing the role of a criminal lawyer. Apart from the lead cast, Hareesh Peradi, Ashokan, Srikanth K Vijayan, Ravindra Vijay and Nandu are all playing the supporting roles.

 Sankar Sharma has scored the music for this film, which is produced by Unni Mukundan and Ranjith Sankar. Chandru Selvaraj is the cinematographer, while Sangeeth Prathap has helmed the editing work for the movie. The movie will be out in cinemas on April 11 and will clash with Pranav Mohanlal-starrer Varshangalkku Shesham and Fahadh Faasil-starrer Aavesham which are releasing on the same date.
