GV Prakash, whose Bachelor released last Friday in big screens, is ready with his next. Jail, which has him playing the lead along with Abarnathi, will hit the screens on December 9. Directed by Vasantha Balan, the movie's story revolves around the lives of a few people who resides in the resettlement colony.
Based on a few real life incidents, the film's story has been inspired from events that happened in Kelambakkam in Chennai. GV himself has composed music for the project which has cinematography by Ganesh Chandhrra and editing by Raymond Derrick Crasta.
The makers have now come up with a three-minute sneak peek from the movie. It begins with GV Prakash, a ruffian, being chased by a few cops in a resettlement colony. He hands over a stolen item to someone who sits idle near a tea shop even as he runs faster.
The actor-musician, who plays Karuna in the film, finally barges into a house where Abarnathi stays. As someone who often ogles at her, she asks him to leave the house and goes to attack him with a sickle. He runs for his life and she starts chasing him until he gets cornered by the cops.
Sridharan Mariathasan has produced the film which stars Radhika Sarath Kumar, Pasanga Pandi, Nandhan Ram and Ravi Mariya among others in key roles. The release of the film, which has been in the making for a long time, was delayed due to financial issues.
Earlier, Vasantha Balan had taken to his social media account to express his disappointment with the unanticipated delay of the project. With the release of Jail a few days away, he recently expressed his happiness and has pinned hopes on the film.
