Jailer director Nelson Dilipkumar reacts to the surprise gesture of Kalanithi Maran

It looks like Sun Pictures, the producers of Superstar Rajinikanth's Jailer are on a gifting spree. Kalanithi Maran of Sun Pictures gifted a cheque to the film's director Nelson Dilipkumar, and also handed over the keys to a brand new luxury car. Sun Pictures dropped a video of the Porsche gifted to Nelson and captioned it, "To celebrate the grand success of #Jailer, Mr.Kalanithi Maran presented the key of a brand new Porsche car to @Nelsondilpkumar #JailerSuccessCelebrations (sic)."

Nelson reacts to the surprise gesture
The video also gives a glimpse of the car even as Kalanithi Maran and Nelson Dilipkumar look on. He is also seen handing over the key to the filmmaker. Now, Nelson Dilipkumar has thanked the producer for the generous gifts. Taking to his social media handle, Nelson wrote, "Thank u very much Mr #kalanithimaran sir for being so generous and gifting me this beautiful car for the success of #jailer really proud and happy to have been associated with u and the cheque was really an add on surprise @rajinikanth sir @sunpictures (sic)."

Earlier,a picture and video of the producer gifting a cheque and a luxury car to Rajinikanth had left fans elated. Kalanithi Maran had visited the latter's house and surprised him with a BMW X7. The video of the same was posted from the social media handle of the production house. It looks like the team is celebrating the success in a big way.

Jailer is going strong at box office
Meanwhile, the film, which has already raked in Rs 600 crore at the box office, has entered the fourth week of its release. What's interesting is that despite a slew of films releasing in the last two weeks, the footfalls for Rajinikanth's Jailer remains steady thus ensuring that the film runs to packed theatres.

Meanwhile, the production house is likely to join hands with Rajinikanth and Nelson Dilipkumar for yet another outing. If the project indeed takes off, it will mark their fourth film with Rajinikanth and the second with Nelson.
