Rajinikanth is yet to complete the shooting of Jailer, but there are unconfirmed reports suggesting that the action-packed drama being helmed by Nelson Dilipkumar will hit the screens in August. Though the movie was supposed to be released in April, as per the earlier plans, the team postponed the idea by a few more months.

The likes of Mohanlal, Shivarajkumar, Jackie Shroff, Sunil and Tamannaah joining the project unexpectedly has escalated the hype surrounding the movie. The team is likely to announce updates on its promo videos soon after the schedules are wrapped up.

Anirudh's music and Stun Siva's action choreography are expected to be prime highlights of the film apart from appearances of the ensemble cast in it. Sun Pictures is bankrolling Jailer which is touted to be the comeback for Superstar as his previous outing, Annaatthe, failed to meet expectations.

Director Nelson, too, is in need of a hit as his last directorial, Beast, disappointed many film lovers. With stars from different industries being part of the cast, the movie is poised to take a huge opening across south.

We now hear that makers are planning something unusual for its audio launch. According to sources, the event might happen in Malaysia. Though many are wondering about this plan from the team, this isn't new for a Rajinikanth-starrer. The star's homongous hit Enthiran, directed by Shankar, had its audio released in Malaysia in 2010, a few months before its theatrical release.

Fans of the Superstar hope that Jailer, too, goes on to become a money-spinner like the ambitious sci-fi action flick which was a huge sensation across the country back then. For now, movie buffs have their fingers crossed and are waiting for official announcements.
