The actor was spotted with his younger daughter at an event in Mumbai

It looks like Superstar Rajinikanth has got a new look. His younger daughter Soundarya dropped pictures of the Jailer star, in which he looks sharp in an all black attire. The father and daughter also seem to be pulling each other's legs going by the pictures, which have been taken during an event in Mumbai. Soundarya captioned the pictures, stating, "Mumbai with appa dearest .. at aunty Nita Ambani s cultural center opening night !!! New look semma thalaiva #ThalaivarNewLook (sic)." The actor made a grand entrance at the event and turned many heads there.'
On the work front, it looks like the shoot for his upcoming film Jailer is nearing completion. The actor had recently filmed certain portions in Kochi and Soorarai Pottru actress Aparna Balamurali had also dropped a picture of the Superstar on the flight. The film has an ensemble cast including Shiva Rajkumar, Jackie Shroff, Sunil, Ramya Krishnan, Tamanaaha Bhatia, Vasanth Ravi, Vinayakan, Yogi Babu, Redin Kingsley, Jaffer Sadiq to name a few. Jailer has been canned in Chennai, Cuddalore, Hyderabad, Mangalore, Bangalore, Kochi and Rajasthan.
Music for the film is by Anirudh Ravichander, who has earlier worked in Rajinikanth's Petta and Darbar. This is the fourth collaboration between Nelson Dilipkumar and Anirudh after they teamed up for Kolamaavu Kokila, Doctor and Beast. While cinematography is by Vijay Kartik Kannan, editing is by R Nirmal. Jailer is bankrolled by Sun Pictures.

Apart from Jailer, Rajinikanth will also be seen in a cameo in his elder daughter Aishwarya's upcoming film Laal Salaam. The film has Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth in the lead and the Superstar will make a special appearance in it. The project is a sports drama based on cricket and is produced by Lyca Productions. Interestingly, Vishnu Vishal had earlier played a cricketer in Jeeva (2014), which was helmed by Suseenthiran.
