The shooting of Jailer, starring Superstar Rajinikanth, kicked off a couple of months ago in Chennai. Yogi Babu, Vinayakan, Ramya Krishnan and Vasanth Ravi were later brought on board officially by the makers. Director Nelson Dilipkumar began the shooting by filming a few crucial scenes in a jail.

After canning a few important portions in Chennai outskirts, the team has reached Cuddalore. A few pictures and videos of Rajinikanth from the location have been leaked and are doing the rounds on Twitter. Since the team had revealed the Superstar's look from the movie earlier, his appearance hasn't come as a surprise to people who visited the location.

However, many ardent fans of the star thronged to the shooting spot to get a glimpse of their matinee idol. According to sources, a crucial fight scene is being shot at a village in Cuddalore. Rajinikanth was all smiles after seeing the crowd cheering for him.

He also posed for a couple of pictures with two cops. A picture of director Nelson, too, which has been clicked from the location is being shared by movie lovers. Jailer, bankrolled by Sun Pictures, is an acid test for Nelson as his previous outing, Beast, failed to meet the expectations.

Rajinikanth's last film, Annaatthe, too, didn't satisfy his huge fan base. Cinephiles hope that Jailer would be that ideal comeback which fans of Rajini are eagerly waiting for. The movie, we hear, might hit the screens as a summer release in 2023.

Anirudh Ravichander is scoring music for the project; this is his third composition for the star after Petta and Darbar. The details regarding the remaining cast and crew is expected to be announced soon.
