Viewers have been quite excited about Suresh Gopi's most recent film, Janaki V v/s State of Kerala, ever since it was announced. Before the riveting courtroom drama hits theatres on July 17, here is all you need to know about it.
After more than two weeks of legal battle, the film is now releasing in theatres on July 17. Originally, it was supposed to hit theatres in June. On the same day, no further Malayalam releases are planned.

The film's trailer opens with a glimpse into the vibrant life of Janaki. She is later seen in distress, but she calmly claims that she has absolutely nothing to conceal. Suresh Gopi as the advocate David quickly enters with his ferocious statements and promises to hold the guilty parties accountable. According to a voiceover, Janaki must obtain justice at any cost. The trailer ends with the advocate asserting that her voice must be heard immediately.
The film is two hours and thirty-six minutes long, and has a U/A certification.
The supporting cast of the movie includes Shruti Ramachandran, Divya Pillai, Madhav Suresh, Askar Ali, Baiju Santhosh, Jayan Cherthala, Shobi Thilakan, Dilip Menon, Vaishnavi Raj, Ratheesh Krishnan, Shafir Khan, Yadu Krishnan and Kottayam Ramesh. Under the auspices of Cosmos Entertainments and Karthik Kreations, J.S.K. is directed by Pravin Narayanan and funded by Raafi Mathirra and J Phanindra Kumar. The filmmaker also wrote the screenplay for the movie. Gireesh Narayanan composed the soundtrack for the film.
Janaki, an IT specialist from Bangalore, spends a vacation at her home. However, her world is turned upside down when she is the victim of a crime. As she begins her fight for justice through the legal system, the case takes an unexpected turn when advocate David Abel Donovan shows up.
The courtroom drama will be available digitally on ZEE5 (OTTplay Premium), it has been revealed. However, it was expected to be available on a well-known OTT site after a more than 30-day theatrical run.
