Janhvi Kapoor, the daughter of film producer Boney Kapoor, took the internet by surprise this morning by sharing the teaser of her upcoming film Ulajh. Immense appreciation from several social media users and critics has poured on her. Many of them are eager to look forward to Janhvi’s theatrical on July 5, 2024. Amid such developments, a fresh news report stated that Janhvi Kapoor is also likely to feature alongside Ibrahim Ali Khan and Mahima Makwana in another film soon.
According to a report by Hindustan Times this evening, Janhvi Kapoor, Ibrahim Ali Khan, and Mahima Makwana will feature in a romantic film together. Filmmaker Shashank Khaitan will direct the film.
"Right now, everything is at a very raw stage, but one thing is for sure, it will be a love triangle involving these three actors. It will be just like the plot of Main Tera Hero and will feature some romance and comedy,” read the report. Maddock Films and Dharma Productions will likely be producing the film.
The report further mentioned that the actors have agreed to carry out the roles desired from them for the film. The shoot for this untitled romantic comedy will commence next year.
There is no confirmation whether this project has any connection with Dostana 2. Also, if this is true, then Shashank Khaitan will finally get to work on a big project despite not being able to create a film with Salman Khan and Karan Johar due to reasons best known to the team.
News in 2023 revealed that actor Kartik Aaryan was initially selected to play the main role in filmmaker Colin D'Cunha's romantic comedy Dostana 2, the follow-up to filmmaker Tarun Mansukhani's hit movie Dostana from 2008, starring Abhishek Bachchan, John Abraham, and Priyanka Chopra. The film, produced by Dharma Productions, also featured Janhvi Kapoor. However, the film was shelved after months of shooting due to some conflict on film’s sets.
