We all know how close Janhvi Kapoor was with her mother, the late actress Sridevi. Given a chance, Janhvi never misses talking about her mother. In 2019, Janhvi made her debut with Dhadak alongside Ishaan Khatter, just a year after she dealt with the biggest loss of her life. In 2018, the legendary actress Sridevi passed away after accidentally drowning in a hotel in Dubai.
In a recent interview, Janhvi shared that she had a panic attack on a dance reality show while promoting her film Dhadak. The actress, in conversation with Mashable India, shared that she went to a reality show to promote Dhadak, and the team didn't inform them about their plan to give a tribute to her late mother.
Janhvi said, “I went on a dance show, and it was right after the incident. I was promoting Dhadak, and everything was very fresh. My team was taking care that I didn’t get reminded of my mother, but this show didn’t tell us that they were going to give a tribute to mom. So they played an audio-visual of all my mother’s songs with an emotional voiceover, and these kids started dancing to pay homage.”
Further, the actress added that this tribute reminded her of the incident, and she couldn’t stop howling and even faced a panic attack. “I couldn’t breathe anymore. I started howling and crying. I ran off the stage and went to my van. I had a proper panic attack. They obviously cut all that out and instead put up another clip of me clapping and smiling, and people were like, ‘Does she really not give a f***?’ But what happened was very different,” she added.
On the work front, Janhvi Kapoor is currently busy promoting her upcoming sports drama Mr. & Mrs. Mahi alongside ace actor Rajkummar Rao. The actress also has Devara in her kitty with Jr NTR. Recently, during one of the promotional events for Mr. & Mrs. Mahi, Janhvi heaped praises on Devara actor Jr NTR and shared that she really enjoyed working with him and the entire team.
