The first single from Karthi's upcoming film Japan is finally here. The single titled Touching Touching was released by the film's music director GV Prakash Kumar. The peppy and groovy number is sung by Karthi himself along with Indravati Chauhan. Lyrics for the song are by Arunraja Kamaraj It was only recently that music label Saregama had announced that it had bagged the audio rights of the film.

In the meantime, the buzz is that the film's audio launch will be conducted in a grand manner at Nehru Stadium. Japan marks Karthi's 25th film and hence, preparations for a gala affair are underway. Japan marks the maiden collaboration between Modern Love Chennai director Raju Murugan and Karthi. While Anu Emmanuel plays the leading lady, the supporting cast comprises Sunil, Vijay Milton and Bava Chelladurai. Cinematography for the action-packed entertainer is by Ravi Varman and editing is by Philomin Raj.
An SR Prabhu production
Japan is bankrolled by SR Prabhu's Dream Warrior Productions. The teaser of the film was released recently and was an instant hit among the audience. SR Prabhu had announced that the teaser was dope and that he couldn't wait to share it with everyone. Going by the teaser, Karthi plays a robber, who lives life king size and is giving the police a tough time. His character is said to be inspired from the real-life robber, Tiruvarur Murugan, who gave the police a run for their money, but later also helped them solve crimes that involved him.
Japan to release in Telugu
The film will also be released in Telugu due to Karthi's growing popularity in the Telugu-speaking states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. The theatrical rights of the Telugu version have been bagged by Annapurna Studios and will drop in theatres on the same date as the Tamil version. Japan will hit screens worldwide on Diwali, along with Karthik Subbaraj's Jigarthanda Double X and Vikram Prabhu's Raid.
