Japan teaser: Countdown for Karthi's comedy thriller begins

The much-awaited teaser of Karthi's upcoming film, Japan, is all set to be out at 5pm today. The team dropped a brand new poster from the film, in which Karthi is seen wearing a suit in golden hue. However, his face and look has been kept under wraps. Going by the poster, it looks like the actor has just descended the aircraft and is walking towards somewhere.

The film's producer SR Prabhu's Dream Warrior Productions, shared the same on their social media handle, and captioned it, "Buckle up folks for an epic journey, with a teaser today. #Japan - Made in India 

Japan star cast and crew
The film marks Karthi's 25th project and his maiden venture with director Raju Murugan. The star cast includes Anu Emmanuel, Sunil, Vijay Milton, Bava Chelladurai to name a few. Music is by GV Prakash Kumar, cinematography by Ravi Varman and editing by Philomin Raj. The audio launch of the film will be held on October 29 at Nehru Stadium in Chennai. Karthi's elder brother, Suriya, who is currently shooting for Kanguva in Thailand, is likely to be part of the event.

Three-way contest for Diwali
As Japan gears up for a Diwali release, the film will lock horns with Karthik Subbaraj's long-awaited Jigarthanda Double X and Vikram Prabhu's Raid. While the former stars Raghava Lawrence and SJ Suryah in the lead, the latter has Vikram Prabhu teaming up with Sri Divya. Raid is a remake of the Kannada film, Tagaru, which had Shiva Rajkumar and Dhananjaya in the lead.
