Shah Rukh Khan finally arrives in Chennai! Gracing the event with his energetic presence, the 57-year-old superstar warmly greeted Tamil actor Vijay Sethupathi at Sai Ram Engineering College today in the city.
Two legendary superstars exchanged warm hugs with each other – a moment that surely exuded an electrifying energy amongst those present.
SRK’s biggest fan club, SRK Universe captioned the memorable moment on Twitter today which read, “When heroes and villains collide! At the audio launch event, Sanya Malhotra, Sunil Grover, Priya Mani, and countless other actors also marked their attendance.
The Badshah of Bollywood arrived at the venue guarded by his team.
Earlier in the day, Shah Rukh Khan paid a quick visit to Mata Vaishno Devi temple to pray for the success of Jawan and his team.
About Jawan
Jawan, meaning "Soldier" in translation, is an upcoming action-packed thriller from India. This film marks Atlee's debut in the Hindi cinema as both co-writer and director. The production falls under the banner of Red Chillies Entertainment, with Gauri Khan and Gaurav Verma at the helm as producers. Notably, Shah Rukh Khan takes on a dual role in the film, accompanied by Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, and a special appearance by Deepika Padukone. Priyamani and Sanya Malhotra also grace the cast.
The journey of principal photography embarked in September 2021, spanning across locations such as Pune, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai, Rajasthan, and Aurangabad. Anirudh Ravichander masterfully composed the film's soundtrack and background score, while G. K. Vishnu skillfully handled the cinematography, and Ruben lent expertise to the editing process.
Originally slated for release on June 2, 2023, the film's debut was regrettably delayed due to pending post-production tasks. As of the latest update, the film is set to enthrall audiences in theaters on September 7, 2023. Coincidentally, this release aligns with the festival of Janmashtami.
