Jawan director Atlee set to become a father, wishes pour in after he surprises fans by announcing the news

Fans of Atlee are elated after the filmmaker came up with a surprise, announcing the excitement of him going to become a father. He posted the news from his social media pages and shared a couple of pictures of himself spending a happy moment with his better half Priya.

His post read, "Happy to announce that we are pregnant and need all your blessing and love (sic)." The couple tied the knot eight years ago in Chennai in a grand ceremony which was attended by who's who in Kollywood industry. The filmmaker has been receiving wishes from several quarters, including fans of Shah Rukh Khan and Vijay.

Priya, too, took to her social media pages to announce the special news to her dear ones. On the professional front, Atlee is awaiting the release of Jawan which will hit the screens in June 2023. The project marks his Bollywood debut along with Nayanthara and Anirudh, who have played the female lead and composed music respectively for the film.

The filmmaker's last outing was Bigil which was released in 2019. The movie went on to become the highest grossing Kollywood movie in the year despite clashing with Kaithi which opened to unanimous positive reviews.

Atlee was in the news sometime ago when he posted a photo of him posing for a picture along with Shah Rukh Khan and Vijay. Though many fans of SRK are betting big on Pathaan which will be released next month, there are those who believe that it could be Atlee who is capable of providing the much-expected comeback for the Bollywood Badshah with Jawan.
