The pre-business of Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan seems to be breaking one record after another. The latest we hear is that Jawan has crossed £32k at the UK box office in ticket pre-sales. The film, helmed by Atlee, is all set to release in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. The Tamil Nadu theatrical rights of the film have been bagged by Gokulam Gopalan's Sree Gokulam Movies, which will be released through Udhayanidhi Stalin's Red Giant Movies.
Jawan is written by Atlee, and the film marks his debut in Hindi. Nayanthara, who is making her Bollywood debut with the film, is playing the leading lady and Vijay Sethupathi, the prime antagonist. The rest of the star cast includes Riddhi Dogra, Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, Sunil Grover, Yogi Babu, Amritha Aiyer, Kenny Basumatary to name a few. Deepika Padukone will make a special appearance in the film.
Meanwhile, the buzz is growing stronger that Vijay has made a special appearance in Jawan. The film seems to have done some extraordinary business in Tamil Nadu and many have hinted at Vijay's cameo as one of the reasons. Though there has been no official confirmation about the same, A picture of Thalapathy with Shah Rukh Khan and Atlee had made the rounds on social media. It is also to be noted that three of Atlee's films, namely Theri, Mersal and Bigil had Vijay in the lead.

Jawan has Shah Rukh Khan in a dual role and it looks like one of the roles is that of a commando, who is all set to take corrective action against the society. The film also marks the debut of popular Tamil composer Anirudh Ravichander and his songs have already gone on to become chartbusters. Jawan, bankrolled by Shah Rukh Khan's home production Red Chillies Entertainment, will release in theaters on September 7, 2023.
