Jawan: Mahesh Bhatt applauds Shah Rukh Khan's ability to convey important messages through film, says he is a 'living embodiment' of that

Mahesh Bhatt and Shah Rukh Khan have a long history together. Having worked together on films like Duplicate and Chaahat, they have a history of respect for one another. While discussing SRK's stardom and his capacity to impact the masses and moviegoers after viewing the latest release, Jawan and Bhatt expressed similar comments. 

Mahesh Bhatt's praise for Shah Rukh Khan's stardom and impact 

During an interaction with ETimes, he stated that stars don't shine because they want to be noticed; they shine simply because they are stars. A superstar is someone whose brilliance shines brightly and encourages others to follow in their footsteps, and according to Bhatt, Shah Rukh personifies the ideal. It's clear that the superstar's crowd-pleasing performance in Jawan and the film's emphasis on societal topics left a lasting impression on Bhatt.

Jawan's societal relevance and Shah Rukh Khan's subtle messaging 

In the action film Jawan, SRK plays a vigilante on a mission to clean up the corrupt government and put an end to social injustice. His female allies are tech-savvy warriors who are equipped to the teeth and ready to do battle. Quite literally, the cool female empowerment seen in Jawan is reflected in SRK and his crew of women. Then there's SRK's speech, in which he calls on Indians to wake up and question every authority, particularly the government and its failure to combat corruption and serve the people. 

Naturally, Bhatt found this aspect of Jawan's societal relevance to be fascinating, and he praised SRK for his ability to subtly convey important information through filmmaking elegance.

Jawan is a high-octane action thriller that charts the inner development of a man (Shah Rukh Khan) determined to right the wrongs of the world. 

SRK plays the dual roles of father and son, Vikram Rathore and Azad, respectively, in the film. The film marks the Hindi directorial debut of Atlee and the Bollywood acting debut of Nayanthara.
