Jayam Ravi's Agilan wraps up shooting; makers reveal BTS video and announce update on teaser

We had told you earlier that Jayam Ravi had started shooting for N Kalyana Krishnan's Agilan. The film's first look was released a few months ago and it had the actor sporting the look of a marine engineer. A few stills from the film, too, were released later by the team.   

They have now announced that the movie's shooting has been wrapped up and unveiled a BTS video which has the crew members seen working hard to pull off the big budget project. An elated Ravi took to his social media page to tweet, "After months of hard work, A Glance of #Agilan is here, Shoot is wrapped & Teaser is getting ready for June (sic)."

Priya Bhavani Shankar plays a cop for the first time in the film; she's seen sporting a khaki in the teaser. Tanya Ravichandran is another female lead of Agilan; the team is yet to reveal her character in the project. 

Agilan has editing by N Ganesh Kumar and music composition by Sam CS. Vivek Anand and Vijay Murugan have handled the film's cinematography and art direction respectively. The movie produced by Screen Scene Media Entertainment Pvt Ltd has Chirag Jani, Hareesh Peradi, Harish Uthaman, Tarun Arora and Madhusudhan Rao, too, essaying prominent roles in it.

Ravi's last outing was Bhoomi (streaming on Disney+ Hotstar) which had a direct OTT release in 2021. Jana Gana Mana, a spy thriller, directed by Ahmed is another film he currently has in kitty.

Mani Ratnam's Ponniyil Selvan is likely to be his next theatrical release. The multi-starrer project is expected to hit the screens on September 30. Ravi will be moving to Rajesh M's untitled project next, which will go on floors soon.
