Jayammu Nischayammu Raa on OTT: Nagarjuna pushed me into acting, says Jagapathi Babu

Jayammu Nischayammu Raa is Zee5's new show hosted by veteran actor Jagapathi Babu. The first episode, featuring Akkineni Nagarjuna, is now available for streaming, and you can also watch it on OTTplay Premium. Ever since the show started streaming, it has become a major talking point.

Jagapathi Babu shares interesting aspects of life and his days spent with Nagarjuna. Not many know that Jagapathi Babu and Nagarjuna are close friends in real life, and it was Nagarjuna who suggested that Jagapathi Babu take up acting. 

Speaking about it, Jagapathi Babu revealed that if not for Nagarjuna, he would have been running a business in Vizag. “I clearly remember the days when Nagarjuna told me I should try movies. I was working at a furniture store in Vizag and used to watch back-to-back films. Despite belonging to a film family, I had little interest in movies. But once Nagarjuna planted the acting seed in me, I started observing him closely and finally took the plunge,” says Jagapathi Babu.

The actor also teased Nagarjuna, asking why he has started doing villain roles in films like Coolie, joking that this would leave actors like him jobless. Nagarjuna was also joined by his brother Venkat and sister Susheela, who shared fun childhood memories.

The highlight of the show, however, came when Susheela revealed how Nagarjuna supported her family after the demise of her husband a few years ago. Jagapathi Babu did not shy away from asking bold questions, quizzing Nagarjuna about his “lady killer” image and his favorite co-star whom he had a crush on.
