Jiiva 47 is Jolliya Iruntha Oruthan: Jiiva, Rajesh and Yuvan Shankar Raja reunite; title teaser pokes fun at Ilaiyaraaja, LCU

Actor Jiiva, who was last seen in 2025's Aghathiyaa, has announced a new film as he will be reuniting with Siva Manasula Sakthi director Rajesh M for Jiiva 47. It is titled Jolliya Iruntha Oruthan. The icing on the cake is that the project will feature music by Yuvan Shankar Raja who also worked in Siva Manasula Sakthi. A funny project announcement was released by the makers on social media on Sunday.

Jiiva 47: What did the funny film announcement have?

Actor Jiiva and director Rajesh M will be coming together after 17 years for Jiiva 47. The filmmaker had made his directorial debut with the 2009 film Siva Manasula Sakthi, which was a commercial blockbuster. Now, the duo will reunite once again, with Yuvan Shankar Raja who scored music for the 2009 film, also onboard. A fun promo was released for the project’s title announcement. It is called Jolliya Iruntha Oruthan.

The promo begins in Dubai where Yuvan Shankar Raja is met with Jiiva and Rajesh who are disguised as locals. Later they reveal themselves, and the promo is filled with humourous one-liners. Meanwhile, Rajesh clarifies that it is not SMS too, while Jiiva mentions it will be on 'SMS vibe'. Is it SMS universe? Jiiva takes a jovial dig at the rapid increase of movie universes like LCU. The title of Jiiva 47 is revealed to be Jolliya Iruntha Oruthan, but Rajesh cautions Yuvan not to shorten it as JIO. Why? Because one might get copyright strike who better than Yuvan would know about it (of course not a mention to Ilaiyaraaja?). Yuvan then says that he had composed the SMS songs in 3 days and will now score all songs in 2 days for the new film.

What else do we know about Jolliya Iruntha Oruthan

The film is expected to be a light-hearted entertainer on the lines of Siva Manasula Sakthi. While the rest of the cast is yet to be announced, the film will be shot by cinematographer M Sukumar and edited by Ashish Joseph
