Joju George's action film Antony gets a release date?

Antony, helmed by veteran hitmaker Joshiy and starring Joju George and Kalyani Priyadarshan in lead roles, seems to have a release date. According to some reports, the action thriller will be released in theatres on October 5.

The title and the first-look posters are the only promotional materials for the film that have been released so far. The first look featured Kalyani in a jersey and a rugged Joju in the background. 

Kalyani had earlier shared her excitement about the film on social media, writing that it has tested her versatility as an actor. According to reports, Joju plays a police officer in Antony, which is his second outing with Joshiy after Porinju Mariyam Jose.

Antony's cast and crew

Along with Joju and Kalyani, Anthony also stars Chemban Vinod Jose, Vijayaraghavan, and Nyla Usha, who were also part of Porinju Mariyam Jose.

Antony is written by Rajesh Varma, who has penned Saiju Kurup's Upacharapoorvam Gunda Jayan and Jeethu Joseph's Life of Josutty. Jakes Bejoy and Shyam Sasidharan, who have worked on Dulquer Salmaan's pan-Indian action film King of Kotha, handle the music and editing of Antony, respectively.

Renadive, who is known for his work in Palthu Janwar, is the cinematographer of the film, which was shot in locations like Kurishadi and Vagamon. Antony is bankrolled by Einstein Media and distributed by Joju's Appu Pathu Pappu Production House.

Pulimada: Joju George's upcoming project

Meanwhile, Joju's upcoming project is Pulimada, a film that belongs to the black humour genre. AK Sajan, popular as the scriptwriter of Mammootty's Dhruvam, is the director of Pulimada. Sajan's previous directorials were Neeyum Njanum, Asuravithu, and Puthiya Niyamam.

According to the director, the film is about a rustic migrant farmer in Wayanad and an urban girl brought up in Abu Dhabi. Aishwarya Rajessh plays the female lead opposite Joju in Pulimada. The teaser for the film features Joju and Aishwarya having a conversation about marriage.
