Jolliya Iruntha Oruthan wraps up filming; Jiiva-Rajesh reunion after Siva Manasula Sakthi garners more expectations

We had already reported that actor Jiiva will be reuniting with filmmaker Rajesh for a film titled Jolliya Iruntha Oruthan. The makers had released a fun promo which also revealed that Yuvan Shankar Raja will be scoring music. The latest update about the project is that they have completed shooting.

Jolliya Iruntha Oruthan is an upcoming Tamil film starring Jiiva in the lead role. The film will mark the reunion of Siva Manasula Sakthi team, with composer Yuvan Shankar Raja onboard. Billed to be an equally fun-filled entertainer, Jolliya Iruntha Oruthan has now completed shooting, the makers of the film announced recently on social media. The makers are yet to announce a release date for the film which marks Jiiva’s 47th outing as lead actor. Jolliya Iruntha Oruthan will have Love Today fame Ivana play the female lead. Shot by cinematographer M Sukumar, the film is edited by Ashish Joseph.

The makers have huge expectations on Jolliya Iruntha Oruthan given it has the pressure to live up Siva Manasula Sakthi, which had become a blockbuster success. The romantic comedy drama marked the debut of Rajesh and had gained cult status over time. It is now available for streaming on SunNXT via OTTplay Premium.

The film revolves around a panchayat leader who must oversee a wedding. However, situations get complicated when a death occurs in the neighbouring house and they want the funeral to happen on the same day as the wedding. Thalaivar Thambi Thalaimaiyil had become a success at the box office and is now streaming on Netflix in various languages. Thambi Ramaiah, Ilavarasu and Prathana Nathan star in supporting roles.
