Today is a special day for director M Rajesh, who last made Mr Local with Sivakarthikeyan in 2019. The Tamil anthology Victim, featuring one of his films, dropped on SonyLIV earlier today and his untitled movie, starring Jayam Ravi and Priyanka Mohan, has been launched, too.

Keerthy Suresh was initially considered to play the female lead in the project which is expected to kick off in Kerala in a few days. Natty, Rao Ramesh and VTV Ganesh among others will essay pivotal roles in the film which is being produced by Screen Scene.

Tentatively titled JR30, the makers released a few pictures from the movie's launch event which was attended by its cast and crew. Vivekanand Santhosham and Harris Jayaraj have been roped in to handle cinematography and music direction for the movie respectively. The latter was the composer for Jayam Ravi's earlier projects like Dhaam Dhoom, Engeyum Kaadhal and Vanamagan.

Ravi, who hasn't had any theatrical outing in the pandemic era, is gearing up for the release of Agilan and Ponniyin Selvan which are slated to hit the screens on September 15 and September 30 respectively. Bhoomi, which had a direct release on Disney+ Hotstar in 2021 was his last outing.

On the other hand, M Rajesh had recently wrapped up the shooting of My 3, a web series which is expected to release on Disney+ Hotstar soon. Hansika plays the lead in the project which has Mugen Rao, Shanthanu and Ashna Zaveri essaying pivotal characters.

There were reports of the director doing a movie each with Jiiva and Santhanam. In an earlier chat with OTTplay, he had revealed that talks were on with Jiiva for a fun-filled film, but the project didn't take off due to reasons best known to them.
