Dulquer Salmaan is the man of the moment. As the actor has had two exciting announcements made on his birthday on July 28, 2025. After giving us a sneak peek into the world of Lokah led by Kalyani Priyadarshan and Naslen, Dulquer dropped the teaser of his upcoming film, Kaantha. Not only that, DQ announced that the Kaantha’s release date is to be September 12, 2025.

Kaantha is an upcoming film, starring actor Dulquer Salmaan in the lead role of a film star. A while ago, DQ gave us a glimpse of the period drama and also announced the release date to be September 12. Apart from Dulquer, the film also features Tamil actor Samuthirakani and actress Bhagyashri Borse in key roles.

In the Kaantha teaser earlier on Monday, we are introduced to Dulquer Salmaan as film star Chandran, who rules over the film sets. Samuthirakani, on the other hand, is seen as filmmaker who was ‘Ayya’ to Chandran at one point in time. But it is clear that the bond has been broken as Chandran and Ayya lock horns at the film set. Bhagyashri Borse also asks Chandran what went wrong between them, but he replies that probably no one would have respected Ayya as much as he did.
Kaantha teaser leaves fans excited
The teaser, which showed DQ’s character going through a plethora of emotions, has already won over people. Several people commented that Kaantha would be his 'career-best performance' and that the teaser looks 'super promising'.
